Our client, a large Australian mining company, wanted to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its global operations and functions while increasing staff and customer engagement. They decided to do this by implementing a new operating model based on Agile ways of working.
What ADAPTOVATE Did
Onboarded and Coached Teams and Executive leaders
Together with the client, ADAPTOVATE trained and onboarded over 500 people, across 50 teams, and in multiple global locations, in agile ways of working.
Our training and onboarding established a common organisation-wide language and understanding of the new ways of working. We ran agile training and coaching for C-level executives to help the leadership team understand the change in leadership style and culture needed. We coached the senior leaders and the teams on giving and receiving open feedback, overcoming obstacles, and continuous improvement. These leaders then became the champions for change in culture and values within the organisation and led their teams in the new ways of working.
Established an Agile Program Management Office
We worked with senior leadership to design and implement a large-scale Program Management Office (‘PMO’). The PMO used agile ways of working across the organisation and supported the ambitions of the company. Having an agile PMO enabled the organisation to focus on continuous improvements at each and every phase of the project life cycle as opposed to the end of the project management life cycle.
